For tourism in Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has signed MoU with Inland Waterways Authority of India and Government of Gujarat. Under this contract, two floating jetties (pontoons) have been sent from Kolkata to Kukshi in Madhya Pradesh. This pontoon will be used as a Kzana tunnel. It is proposed to run a cruise from Ekatam Dham (Statue of Oneness) at Omkareshwar to Statue of Unity at Kevadia. Two floating jetties will be provided to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, out of which this jetty has been delivered to Madhya Pradesh.

The river Narmada will ensure uninterrupted flow of goods between Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. A total route of 120 km from Kevadia Statue of Unity to Chandankhedi, Kukshi has been decided. From Kukshi, tourists will be taken by road from Omkareshwar to Statue of Unity. On the way he will also be taken to visit Maheshwar, Mandalashwar and Mandu. For this, two jetties will be established at Chandankhedi-Kukshi and Sakarja-Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh and at Hamfeshwar-Chhota Udepur and Statue of Unity-Kevadia in Gujarat. The state government will develop necessary infrastructure and other facilities for cruise tourism. A pontoon is a floating platform in water, which is installed on a wharf or shore. It does not sink and can carry the weight of several people at once. 100 people can sit in the cruise. Cruise arrival time, ticket rates and stoppages etc. will be decided after the tender process.
