The IPL 2024 season starts from Friday. In the first match, Chennai Super
Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both
the teams will face each other at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. But

Indian Premier League 2024 will start from today. The first match will be
played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M
Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both the teams will enter this match with big
changes. Rituraj Gaikwad will now be seen captaining CSK while RCB will play
under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis with a new name.
Before the IPL, the team management of Chennai Super Kings took a big decision
and made Gaikwad the captain of the team. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not be
seen captaining Chennai in the next tournament. Dhoni has led Chennai in 212
matches. Out of which the team tasted victory in 128 matches and defeat in 82.
Two matches were inconclusive. Chennai won the title last season by defeating
Gujarat Titans.
The first match to be played on Friday will see a tough match between the two
teams. Chennai will be looking to defend their previous title by winning the
first match of the season while RCB will be looking to start the season with a
win. This match is going to be very special for the fans of Virat Kohli and
Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

When will the first match be played?
The first match of IPL 2024 between RCB and CSK will be played on Friday,
March 22. The first match will be played at the M Chidambaram Stadium in
Chennai. This is CSK's home ground.
When will the match start?
The match between RCB and CSK will be played from 8.00 PM IST. The toss will
take place at 07.30 pm.
On which TV channel will the match be telecast?
Indian Premier League broadcast rights are held by Star Sports. Live
commentary in English will be available on Star Sports 1 HD/SD and Hindi
commentary will be available on Star Sports Hindi HD/SD. Apart from Hindi and
English, Star Sports Channel will offer live commentary in other languages

The opening ceremony of IPL 2024 will feature many big stars
If reports are to be believed, apart from Indian musicians Sonu Nigam, AR
Rahman, Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are also scheduled to
perform at the opening ceremony of the upcoming season of IPL. It is being
said that Sonu Nigam and AR Rahman may come together for a special
presentation on patriotism. The time limit for this entire ceremony has been
kept at 30 minutes.
