The state government has made a big announcement before the assembly elections in Gujarat. The state government has announced to provide two cylinders free of cost to the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana. Apart from that, the government has also made the CNG vehicle owners happy. The government has reduced VAT on CNG and PNG by 10 percent. Now the reduction in VAT on CNG will benefit consumers by Rs 6 to 8. While consumers in PNG will benefit by Rs 5 to 6. 300 crores will be burdened on the government by giving relief to CNG and PNG. Apart from that, the relief in LPG will also burden the government with a total of 1650 crores. Government's announcement will benefit 38 lakh LPG holders.
State government minister Jitu Vaghani said that citizens and housewives are to get a relief of one thousand crore rupees. Also, the decision to give two cylinders free in a year has been taken by the state government. This decision has been taken keeping in mind about 38 lakh housewives. Under which a relief of 650 crore rupees means a relief of up to 1700 crore rupees has been decided to reach the people's homes or pockets. The state government has reduced the VAT by 10 percent. This decision will directly benefit housewives and motorists.
